What we do

Short Term Accommodation

Short Term Accommodation, including NDIS respite care, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from a participant’s usual home.

What is NDIS Short Term Accommodation & NDIS Respite Care?

Short Term Accommodation, including NDIS respite care, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from a participant’s usual home. It covers the cost of care in another place, normally for up to 14 days at a time. It’s often funded when usual carers aren’t available, or to enable people to try new things, for example when transitioning into Supported Independent Living Accommodation.

What’s included in Short Term Accommodation at ICLA?

Short Term Accommodation at ICLA covers all the costs of supporting you with self-care; your accommodation in one of our group homes; as well as food and activities for a short period.

This may be as part of your transition out of your current accommodation or to allow your carers the opportunity to take breaks from their responsibilities.
